HOW CAN I HELP?
When news of the COVID-19 pandemic hit last year and our community went into quarantine, more people than ever were holding conversations on healthcare and their access to it. For the last fifteen years, we have been Chatham County’s only non-profit free pharmacy, and we are committed to reducing health disparities in our community by providing free prescriptions to the qualifying low income, uninsured, and underinsured Chatham County residents who meet 200% of the Federal Poverty Level.
How Can You Support Your Community?
We operate fully through donations and grants, serving approximately 350 clients annually who are uninsured, underinsured, or do not meet the criteria for Medicare or Medicaid, with chronic health concerns like high blood pressure, diabetes, and mental health disorders.
Make a general donation.
If you would like to make a general, tax-deductible donation to the pharmacy, or if you know anyone who is in need of our services who also meets our criteria, please call or e-mail us. You can also download, complete and mail in THIS donation form.

NC MED ASSIST
Our membership in this stateside non-profit pharmacy is how we access many of the prescriptions we dispense in Chatham County.
HAVE A HEART
Our pharmacy supports chronic health concerns like high blood pressure, diabetes, and mental health disorders. Donations to the Have A Heart Program will be directly applied to prescriptions that deal with heart disease, blood pressure, and stress. 100% of your donation to this program will go toward dispensing heart-related prescriptions.
KNOCK OUT DIABETES
According to the CDC, 34.2 million Americans have diabetes – that’s roughly 1 in 10 people. In Chatham County, 12% of our community is living with diabetes, and it greatly affects the uninsured and underinsured in our community. 100% of your donation to this program will go toward dispensing diabetes prescriptions
PATHFINDER PROGRAM
According to Johns Hopkins, about 26% of Americans ages 18 and older – which is roughly 1 in 4 adults -- suffers from a diagnosable mental disorder annually, and it greatly affects the uninsured and underinsured in our community. 100% of your donation to this program will go toward dispensing mental health prescriptions
